About this assessment

What it measures

Seven questions, about two minutes, scored 0 to 21. Each question covers one dimension of how far along you are as AI moves through your field. There are no trick answers; the honest one is the useful one.

1. How often AI tools are part of your actual work, not your reading about it.
2. Whether the organisation around you has a plan, a pilot, or only a conversation.
3. How much of your current role could be automated within two years.
4. Whether you can explain how a language model works — tokens, training, limits.
5. How you treat what a model gives you: at face value, edited, verified, or as raw material.
6. Whether you are building the skills a model cannot replicate, and how deliberately.
7. Your first instinct when your field shifts: freeze, follow, analyse, or move.

The four positions

Your score places you in one of four positions. Each comes with a reading of where you stand and the next moves that fit it.

Early (0–5)

AI is reshaping your field faster than your role has moved. The gap is real and closeable: the next 12 to 24 months decide how much of the choice stays yours.

Aware (6–11)

You understand AI matters but have not yet turned awareness into advantage. The gap between knowing and doing is where careers stall.

Operational (12–17)

You are actively integrating AI and building future-proof skills. Now compound: move from individual advantage to strategic influence.

Command Level (18–21)

You are not just adapting, you are shaping how AI transforms your domain. The question is whether you are building systems or only being excellent individually.
